"Active Cases" on Janumay include those diagnosed prior to the beginning of the update period but are still considered within their isolation period and would not necessarily be reflected in "New Cases." In addition, there was 1 student case that was active and subsequently recovered during the period of January 4-11, which has been included in the "Semester Cumulative Cases" and "Semester Presumed Recovered Cases" but would not be noted as new or active on January 11.

January 11, 2021: "New Cases" reported are those that we confirmed following the previous and final fall dashboard update on January 4, 2021. Please note: This information does not include individuals who may have confirmed cases but have not reported to campus in the past 14 days or individuals who are self-quarantining without a confirmed diagnosis. The semester cumulative presumed recovered indicates the total number of individuals who have been released from treatment or isolation per CDC guidelines and are recovered or presumed recovered. The semester cumulative data reflects the total number of positive confirmed cases at UNCP since January 11, 2021. Active cases are those individuals with a confirmed, positive test result and are currently in their isolation period. Surveillance testing is performed monthly throughout the semester as open access testing events for all faculty, staff and students.ĬASES represent UNC Pembroke faculty, staff, students or subcontractors working on campus who have known, confirmed cases of COVID-19, have been present on campus during their period of infection and could present a current risk of exposure to other members of the university community. Last update: Tests Administered on Campus (For a description of these test types and their specified uses across campus, please refer to the notes section.) Note: the total number of new cases reported in the above section may also include self-reported cases where tests were performed by off-campus providers and cannot be directly correlated to the campus testing numbers indicated below. The number of tests administered is updated each Monday to indicate the total number of tests administered on campus through either Student Health Services or Athletics by type for the preceding week, excluding surveillance testing event data.
