I have usually been able to find documentation pointing to a natural explanation for the disappearances, and found that some are not disappearances at all (the person being found alive a few days later). I understand that small-scale stores aren’t going to rocket items to you like Amazon does, but they should always provide contact information so you can take action if you haven’t received the item.
